Here’s what you need to know about
HVAC preventative maintenance:

  1. Indoor Evaporator Coils
    We clean coils to increase system efficiency (dirty coils slow down airflow), and check drains for leaks.
  2. Fan Blades & Motor
    Must be clean and balanced to ensure the motor does not heat and overload.
  3. Check Compressor Amp Draw
    Abnormal amp draw can be a safety hazard, or an indicator of another issue.
  4. Refrigerant Level
    Refrigerant needs close monitoring, a 15% undercharge of refrigerant will lower your system’s efficiency by 25%.
  5. Heat Exchangers & C02 Levels
    SAFETY ISSUE: If co2 levels are too high they may cause fissures, cracking, or even surface combustion of your heat pump.
